Hi

I have a brick pattern which won't align when in realistic view, despite displaying as aligned in shaded view.

I have also ensured that the surface pattern is a model pattern, as seen below.

Does anyone have a soloution to this?

Joe

1) Check your hatch pattern size matches your texture pattern module size.

2) If (1) is ok, then go to the texture pattern image and use the X & Y parameter option to shift the texture image up/down and left and right until it aligns with your hatch pattern.

I don't really understand your suggestion.

Since my texture and hatch align correctly under texture alignment I would assume the sizes are correct.

When I change the X or Y parameters it simply moves the whole pattern in that direction, yet the chimney and main wall materials still aren't aligned.

Your hatch pattern will have a size - say a tiled pattern that is 100 x 100mm.

Your texture material will be based on an image - say a JPG image of a tile. When you open the window to control that image you will see the size of the image is set by a default amount. You need to check this amount matches the hatch size as Revit has no way of scaling an image, it relies on you to define it. If these are the same, then the only possible solution it can be is that the position of the image is not aligned to the hatch pattern. So in the image window, you need to shift it up/down or left or right until it aligns.
