Revit 2018

I have two wall sweeps on an exterior wall.  One is a low brick wall (mowing strip, basically, and a ledge at the top of the wall.  These are separate profiles, and are applied to the wall type as a sweep. Both are "cuttable" and neither are set to cut the wall -- though, I've tried every toggle to get this to work.

The brick ledge only gets partially cut by the storefront walls inserted in the exterior wall.  See the image attached.  I've tried flipping these in the profile families and flipping them back in the sweep, I've tried playing with where the storefront sits in the wall -- no matter what I do, the ledge is only cut out to 5/8" off the face of the lower brick sweep, and 6" off the face of the host wall.  The profile usage is "Wall Sweep" the Section Shape is "Rectangle," the wall wraps at both inserts and the exterior wraps at the ends (I've tried every option), the wall function is exterior, and there are no other reveals or split regions.

Of course I can go in and remove this sweep from the wall type and put it in live in the model, but it would be nice if it were automatic.

Thoughts?

FYI, I rebuilt this as a stacked wall with the ledge as the only sweep, and it works OK.  I can't modify returns, which is a problem.

I would still be interested if anyone had a solution to the original issue, though.
