Hi!
I want to link IFC file into my revit project. IFC is made in Autocad MEP (i guess). We have positioned same 0,0,0 point, my project base and survey point is at that position.
BUT when I link IFC in Revit it drops IFC file somewhere random! When I link files in Tekla BIMsight or Navisworks everything is fine and both files match correct position.
When i open that IFC file, I can see that project base and survey point is at correct position. I can then link RVT file to my RVT and it drops where it should.
Am I missing something?? Why do IFC file with correct 0,0,0 drops in random place??
Atis

Revit and IFC just don't get along too well. Commercially speaking, this enables Autodesk to get more Revit users. Just import it and move it to the correct position and if you get the opportunity, make sure anyone you work with in future uses Revit and Revit alone. Everyone working in the same native software will mean everything will always line up provided shared coordinates are setup correctly and shared coordinates are used to import models.
