i have noticed that the OOTB windows have a parameter that lets you position the window within the wall. i have been trying to replicate this parameter but having some difficulty. the OOTB window parameter moves the glass extrusion & mullions along with the window frame when you change the parameter. when i try this on my own window family i cannot get the glass extrusion & mullions to move with the frame. wondering how revit built this parameter?

With items like windows, I start with a workplane that is well off of the inside face of the wall and I add a constraing, instance based dimension from the exterior wall face to that work plane. Now I bulid those moveable items around this workplane. Occassionally, I test the window by changing that dimension to verify moving function. Before saving, I set that dimension to a reasonable starting one.
