I have a file (one single file). No matter what i do in this file Revit will not Halftone or Fade out during and type of sketch or Edit mode. I have tried it in: Filled Regions, Masking Regions, Model inPlace, Any Sketch (Floor, Ceiling, Stair etc...), Design Options, Group Editer Mode (Detail and Model).

It works fine in any other project i can even windows tile and enter sketch mode in both project and it greys out background obejects in all files but one. I have tried to Purge, Audit, Re-Create the central model. Remove and Re-add worksets. Nothing fixes it.

Any thoughts? cant imagine why this is only happening in one single file.

Hello Bruff730,

Not sure if I can answer your question, but perhaps a little clarification will help me out.

Are you referring to a "local" file that saves back to a central file?  The other local files that save back to the central file work fine, but not this particular local file?  If this is the case, perhaps just get rid of the "local" file that is causing the problem and create a new local.

One possibility (if I'm actually understanding your issue) is that you do not have permission to work on the local that you are trying to access.  This would be found in the work sets menu I believe.
