So I did a 3d void sweep. The sweep is along a curved roof and the sweep itself has a triangular profile so that the roof has a knife edge (the void sweep cuts the roof edge). My problem is the endpoint. A small triangular portion remains in the end apparently because of the thickness of the roof. So I want to be able to extend my path a little bit beyond the roof end so that it cuts that triangular portion too. And since I picked 3d edges, revit will not let me drag the end point of the sweep path. I tried so many different ways - creating a separate sweep for that little triangle and many other methods but none seems to work.

Please see attached images for clarity.

I tried this with a "roof by footprint" and had no problem, however, from the look of your roof I'm guessing you perhaps used roof by extrusion?  Let me know and I'll try it again using the same type of roof that you used.

Hope it is not too late…

In the sweep sketch mode, set curved fascia plane as your current work plane and use sketch path for your sweep – pick lines option, then you get your grips.

Looking at your pictures, it’s hard to tell the true shape of your roof. Plan and elevations would be much better instead of 3D, if you still need help with it, that is.
