hi,

i am trying to overlay two viewports on sheet. one viewport with all the wall, ceiling and floors cuts shaded in light grey.

the other one with black and white with wall, floor and ceiling cuts showing material hatch. the result i am after is to have both sahding and material hatch visible in cection cuts. this is not possible to do in one viewport since cant do both hatch and shading.

i am running into following issues:

i place my shaded view first, then snap b&w view in place. for some reason b&w shows opaque. when i make pdf suddenly b&w is transparent. so the preview in revit is not accurate. any ide how to change this to show correctly?

now the problem still remains with some areas of b&w plan. they walls that have hatch on them or some areas (not all) where i placed detail items like rim boards stud bottom and top plates remain opaque. so i guess my question is, how do i make this b&w view so that ALL white is transparen?

thanks

brano

Hello brano,

Please let me know which version of revit you are using. If possible, please upload an image of both of the views you are trying to use (perhaps side by side). It is my experience that you can have hatch and shading show up at the same time.

I'm uploading images of a single view, one overall and another close-up of the same view. You can see the material hatch as well as a light color shading on the different layers of floor and wall.

Thanks!
