See picture. my existing stone wall is being cut (invisibly) by a new wall that is going to go there. Yes, the stone wall is probable going to be demolished in the field. but I need to be able to show existing views to the city. not an existing view that is chopped up by invisible "new" phase elements...this is really weird to me, how do I stop this? Phase is set to "existing, and "show complete".
Edit: Figured it out. just use the uncut tool. and it will go back to normal.

I would try one of two things: "switch join order" or "uncut geometry"
