Hi Everyone - I've downloaded the profile of a wall sheeting which happens to be the revolution maxline 340 - they give you the profile type as an .rfa file and I want to be able to show this profile on external walls in 3D views so that it looks all pretty and makes the dwelling external look correct.

If I import this file it comes in under 'profiles' in the family groups.

I've done a bit of googling and can't seem to work it out.

I've shown hatches on walls before for simple stuff, but they are all .pat files, so can you turn an .rfa file into a .pat file or another way to go about this?

I've attached the file in question.

I'm using Revit 2015 - so how do I make this happen?

Cheers

Todd

You can add profiles to walls by selecting wall > edit type > edit structure > expand preview > change view to section > add a sweep.

Mansell5 - link looks interesting but not sure if it will work in my case for walls and I'd probably have to re-do everything at this stage.

marmiketin1 - does that method add it to all walls? I only want it on certain walls in certain sections.  I can add a sweep to any wall, but the profile of the sheeting sits the wrong way.  It needs to sit flat against the wall, but it sits parallel to the wall and back into the wall.
