I've had this problem before with downloads from BIMObject, but every work around seems to be different. Problem is with:

https://bimobject.com/en-us/lutronelectronics/product/lutron-wm-aliantedemiext

-- the exterior sconce model, btw. All other sconces/fixtures in the project work fine. I can only assume there is a problem with the revit model (file attached). Under time pressure to sell client on this neat fixture before thanksgiving.......

Any help is greatly appeciated - many thanks

Using Revit 2015 architecture

Open the family and see if there is a solid object (lens) in front of the light source (make sure the light source is there too).  If so, then look at the material in the family.  If that material already exists in the project, then that material governs.

Thanks for the response - light source is there, and there is a cowling over the top, but it doesn't appear to obstruct the throw. The only thing I can figure is that the light source definition model is submerged back into the wall : /

See attached pic -the fixture is in white and laying on its back (its elongated with a light throw out top). The light source defintion are those pretty yellow wings that are in the wall.

Do'h!

I think you are correct and you should be able to correct that.  I'm also surprised with the actual light source location.  I would think that would be out from the face of the wall.   Some manufacurers still don't know much about Revit.

I sent a query off to Lutron so maybe they can fix it. But I have a backup selection, so its all good.

Thanks for your help
