Hi there,

I was hoping to use a swept blend to create a fairly simple basin form - using a quarter rotation from one profile to another, then mirroring to create the final element out of the 4 quarters.

The result is fairly bizarre! - see attached. Rather than a smooth oval form, I've ended up with a Rolling Stones style set of lips!

Any suggestions why the model is performing like this and how I can fix it? Or an alternative method.

Thanks very much for any help

Couple of points.

Make sure your sketch path lines will transition from one quandrant to another correctly. i.e. does the line need to terminate perpendicular to the axial lines or does the angle it touches at the axial lines need to be adjusted ensure the profile sweeps smoothly through.

Also, make sure the location of the sketch profile and the sketch profile itself is correct to allow a smooth transition across the axial lines.
