When I go to cut a void in a curved plane it doesnt work immediately, so I use the cut tool - it seems to work. But then when I go to divide the surface of the cut plane, it will only apply the pattern to the entire area of the plane (including the area that should be within the void). See attached pictures.

I've tried dissolving and remaking the forms in different orders a zillion times. I have no idea why a few planes are doing exactly what they should and others are not.

In all three images it doesnt look like the void is appearing in the wall at all

It looks like the "windows" are modelled in but not making a void in the wall. Might be something to do with the family? Windows should automatically cut a void in the host aka wall

Have you tried using Wall Opening tool under Structures tab? I did a curved wall (using Wall tool) and can cut a void

I tried using the Wall Opening tool on a modelled in component and didnt work, so that may be your issue
