Hey guys,
I have a weird problem I can't figure out and it is frustrating me. I just started a new project using Revit files given from the client. There are diffusers drawn with symbol lines from an object style called "Air Terminals" (I don't know if it is a normal Revit line, I'm new to Revit as in I know how to draw components and make some pretty nice renderings, never had to make plans from revit before but I've done a lot of playing around). I want the lines to be black but they appear blue. They plot blue too. The object style is set to black, there is no override for the object style in the VG settings. The lines appear black when I go to edit the family too.

I must add: supply diffusers are blue, return are magenta. They are drawn with the same object style.

Look at your VG settings in your view. The colors can be controlled/over-ridden there....

The VG settings are the first thing I checked. Not a single line in my RCP views have any overrides other than phase overrides. The two components that are two different colours are drawn with the same object style so if it was a VG override they should both be the same overridden colour. There must be an override similar to the phases. They are coloured in the existing phase, which I selected them to be the phase created in, and have the same existing phase override as all the walls and light fixtures in the new construction RCP. The ducts are also the same colour as the fixtures except for exhaust fans (exhaust ducts are green, fans are black).
I wouldn't care if Revit let me plot all linework black without plotting the logos in my titleblock black as well. I don't want to plot in grayscale either because the diffusers will be lighter than the t-bar and I'm not going any lighter with the t-bar. The longer I use Revit the longer my list of Revit shortcomings grows.

Something I'm not clear on. Are you actually just drafting this in Revit with 2d linework? Why are you not using families or at least symbols?
Individual elements can have individual over-rides - not something to do lightly. Right click on the element and you can over-ride several differt visual things or remove it.
