The window grills show up in the regular 3D view but when I go to render it...... No grill show up in the rendereded image. Any ideas?

Check the family and see if those are in a sub-category.

Check the render settings for the glass material.  It looks like it's highly reflective and not transparent at all.  If the grills are totally inside the glass, then they wouldn't be seen.
