I am all out of ideas. I'm simply trying to create a duct that taps to the side of an oval duct. No matter what I try, it keeps saying that "No auto-route solution was found." There are no obstructions. They are both at the exact same offset. I am becoming incredibly frustrated. This makes no sense at all, because it was working yesterday.
Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?

You need to create a duct fittings family
with two connectors, one on each end.
at one end give recatangular duct connector, (select connector then change to rectangular), and other end ovel connector.
you need to make proper 3d model as per requirement.
this is one of the very advanced families of revit MEP. if you really want to learn it then use the link below.
and learn about duct transition.
