On the Insert tab:  I cannot load any families, insert files from other revit projects, or insert images.  The pop up menu does not appear.  It grays out like the command is in progress but no menu appears.  I CAN link a CAD file, link a Revit file, & manage Images. Those menus pop up.  Its as if the menus are off the screen & I cannot see them. 

I have recently upgraded my monitors so I thought that might be the problem.  I have tried different display resolutions. I tried using one monitor instead of two. I tried going back to my old monitors. I restarted the program, restarted my computer, downloaded service pack 2 for 2017, & reinstalled Revit 2017. Nothing has worked.

Has anyone had this issue?  I am using Revit 2017 on Win 10 with 24" Dell monitors at 1920x1200 res. Nothing else seems to be off the screen on any other programs.

I figured it out.

The dialog is opening off-screen.  After selecting the Load Family tool on the problem machine, do the following:

  1. Press ALT+SpaceBar (simultaneously).
  2. Press the M key (for Move).
  3. Press any of the arrow keys.

If the dialog is open, but off-screen, the above will snap the Window to your cursor and you can then click somewhere on-screen to get it back on screen and usable.
