Hi guys!

I want to create a double skin facade with and exterior skin made of folding shutters with perforated panels, kinda like Herzog & de Meuron's project Funf Hofe. Any tips on how I could do this? I tried to keep it simple by inserting shutters directly on the wall but it isnt working very well. Please share any tip/idea, I really don't know how to pull this one off.

Thank you so much!

I created a curtain wall with some folding doors i found, any idea how i can represent the perforations?I changed the material of the shutters to another with cut outs but it only shows with render, is there any way I can make it visible without the render?

i think you will have to use a model pattern on your material and usee the transparency option in the graphic section - material editor ( as attached )

You should go for the patterns to create the texture.

Do not model those openings in the metal and you will regret. :-)

Hello!

I'm actually looking for something very similar for a school project I'm working on but don't understand curtain walls very well. How did you have the perferations shown in the rendering? Also, were the doors downloaded from Revit City?

Thank you so much@!
