I am having trouble with view raange and an opening on my framing plan. I have a door with a 2X8 header bearing -2'-10" below the second level. My associated level is the second level and the cut plane is 1'-0" above the second level. When I change the view depth to -1'-9" the header is no longer visable on plan but the opening still shows up, what am I doing wrong? I am using Revit 2015.

Thanks!

I think you have no answers because of how you asked your question.

"...if my view depth was set to -1'-9" should the door opening not be seen on plan?.."  Are you saying it was seen on plan?

Yes, the opening is still showing up with my view depth set to -'1-9".

extending the view depth allow you to see the projection lines of the door not the opening " the symbolic lines indicating the Door Leaf(s) " if you want to see the opening you have to change the cut plane - but what i didn't get is what do you want so i can propose a solution ?

But mostly this issues are solved with a "plan Region" but before using the area plans make sure that you really can't adjust the view range to get all what you want

I don't want to see the door opening or the opening "projection lines" on plan. If the view depth is above the "door opening" (-1'-9"), why do I still see the "opening lines"? I thought if the view depth was set above the opening that I would not see anything on the plan.  Thanks for your help, sorry if i'm not explaining this well.
