apologies if this the wrong sub-forum.

I cant get anything from stairs when I try and do a material takeoff list. I've selected every option I could and came up with an empty list.

I can get other lists just fine. I have structural coulumn and framing coming out just fine. I've played with the phases and the stringer types, but it never populated with anything.

Ive heard that the rails screw things up so I made them without rails and still nothing.

Ultimatley I am looking to get stringer information from the stairs.

any suggestions?

thanks for your time.

You could simply create a new project parameter for the stair category ( Manage - Project Parameter - Add - Give it  a Name - Change Type of Parameter to Material - tick Stair box in categories - click ok - and repeat for the various finishes you want to schedule. Then select each stair and insert the correct data into the newly added parameter. The create a new schedule - make it a stair schedule and add the newly created parameters you added.
