this is my first duplex project i will be doing in revit. i am looking for the tips to make drawing more efficient by drawing and updating just one unit and so the 2nd unit is done automatically. my plan is to draw one unit ant than link it into new file wher i will have true and mirrored image of the unit. now what i am not sure is: do i do detailing in file with linked units or in unit file? another issue is, the units will have same layout and everything but there will be few elements that will be different. ie window locations, exterior finish etc. is there a way to make this happen with linked file? or am i better of drawing both units and not bothering with links?
thanks

I don't believe a link is a good solution here.
I would probably do all my work in one unit and mirror it after it is developed. The exterior walls and windows should be developed fully in both. Interior elements might be mirrored in temporary files for progress prints holding off until final approval or mirror and erase, re-mirror if required.
All detailing and dimensions in that initial unit, the contractor can work with that. Only the changes should be noted in the mirrored unit.
