I just opened Revit 2018 to do a quick little project. Did the work, purged everything from my project (including sheet boarders and went to export a sheet (without a boarder) as a .dwg. When I go through the steps to export the .dwg the option to not export all views as external links is locked. Meaning the "Export views on sheets and links as external references" box is checked and greyed out so I can't uncheck it.

I didn't think it was the cause of the problem, but just to be sure, I loaded a sheet frame/boarder back into the project. Still no luck on not having every drawing on the sheet created as it's own file.

Any help or thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Not a great start to Revit 2018. >Sad

Maybe I answered my own question. On the previous screen I changed Export: <current views/sheets only> to <in-session views/sheet set> and the option to not export a views as external references on the next page now becomes available to uncheck.

Not really sure why or how this affects this option. What the F is in-session anyways...the project, the file, the time I work in the file between 8 and 5.?

Try to save the DWG export configuration to a new name, load it, and change the settings.

Hmmm, that appeard to work... Is this a glitch in the software or is it intentional that it works this way?
