have a building with a couple of ktichens with the same casework I watched the smarter architect video on changing material parameters but I am confused. I have added a blu material at numerous points but i am obviously missing something!
I am duplicating the cabinet and then changing the material - but the old one changes as well!
Can someone please give me a step by step i bascially want a cream version and blu version of the same cabinet.

Every year I write this: THE PROJECT RULES
You need to better understand material assignments. Every material in a Revit project is identified by a unique name that is always there until it is altered in the project or deleted from the project.
Revit projects typically come with a material called glass. Look at that material and it's color. If you create a new family and use a material called glass that is purrple and you load that family into your project, the glass will not be prurple, it will be the stock color of glass. However, if you edit the glass material in the project to purple, every object existing or added to the project that uses glass will now be purple.
