Hello Guys,

I hope this is the right place for my question. I am trying to create a custom elevation mark that matches the symbology used for detailing the rooms. We use letters for each elevation. I am trying to create a parameter for the elevations that can be detected by the elevation mark. However, when I am creating the label, Revit only allows me to use certain parameters within an "Elevation Category". I am not sure how to create a parameter that is included in this category. Please, check the attached images. It will make it easier to understand what I am trying to do.

Any idea????

Thanks in advance guys.

I'm at a loss as to what you are trying to do.

Standard elevations can accept Letters as well as numbers and you can modify the elevation marker to look like yours.   The one rule you have to respect is that the elevation marker must be unique on every sheet.  In other words, you can't have two elevations marked 'A' on the same sheet.

Yep, that's the problem. I want those view to have always ABCD. So, there will be many A's and B's and C's. That's the reason why I want to create a Custom Parameter. But i dont know how to make that parameter appear in that category.

You can have as many 'A's as you want, just as long as they are not on the same sheet!

If you want a DUMB tag, then use that.
