Revit 2017 OS10

I can no longer make the ASCII Symbols work in 2017.  Has this option been removed with the new text editor or do I have some option turned off?

Large Ø = Alt 0216

Small ø = Alt 0248

(degree) ° = Alt 0176

Your current font may not offer unicode.

I'm just using plain old Arial.  Now I even tried "Arial Unicode MS" and that does not work either.  What font are you using that works?

I'm using Aerial.  Do you have all the updates installed?  I'm not sure what else it would be.

I don't remember what the ascii codes are, are you sure you have them right?   I typically just cut and paste from the charmap.

Are you on window's 10?  If so then just click in the lower left corner and in the window type charmap.

Earlier windows, just type charmap in the windows command promp also found under the start button.
