I am trying to "break" up the patterning on an exterior wall. I have created a different wall type with a different exterior finish pattern and split the existing wall and changed the type. When I view the wall in 3D the pattern has not changed. The wall type has changed.

Did you dulicate the existing wall and then change the material of the wall? If not delete the wall you created and duplicate the wall you started with, change the name and then go into the properties/structure of the wall and change the material of the wall. It should show up.......I just did a little test and I could not find a way to not have it show up.
