Hi, using revit 2016.
My site plan dissapears every now and then. It was there on tuesday, but now its thursday and hasn't been displaying for two days. This happened last week but magically it came back a couple days later.
On it i have some annotation etc. that i need to keep. i have made a new site plan to work with but would really like my original site plan back. i have NOT adjusted any settings to the original site plan.
I don't know why this is happening.
Please any explanations will greatly help.

I’m not sure why this is happening either (graphic card issue?, or corrupted view perhaps?), but to keep your annotations and other 2D elements, you can create a new site plan view by using duplicate with detailing option.

i made the site plan straight from the architectural template that is onboard revit 2016. site plan view as included in template.
also another thing is that some of the elevation markers at times disappear then reappear.

Even though a view comes from the OOTB template, it still can get corrupted. Create a new view - hopefully it will fix your problem, in the project browser right click on your troubled site plan view -> duplicate view -> duplicate with detailing.
The other problem with the elevation markers, is it happening in the same site plan, or different, random views?

yes i have duplicated site plan view... that now has disappeared too.
the original true north plan has remained though. i have lost all my annotation from the site plan, luckily i had site lines as model lines so they have remained.
no the elevation markers only show up north, west, south - no east (on the floor plans). though on the true north plan the east only shows up. weird. i think you're right, that the file is corrupted - its too late to start again.

omg - i just realised the survey point and project base point were a very great distance apart, which made the site plan very very small.
i feel really silly, revit has stumped me again. i am still learning the ropes - sorry to waste your time.
