Hope that someone can help me on this question for array families.

If I have a rectangular filled region with instance parameters "Bar Length" and "Bar Width" in a family "Bar", then nested into another family "Path" with instance parameters "Length" and "Width".

In the family "Path", I made the "Bar Length" associated to "Length", "Bar Width" to "Width".

Now I loaded the "Path" into a project A. I'm able to control the length and width of that filled region in the project A.

However, if I try to aplly this in an array family, then I even cannot set up the associated parameters "Bar Length" and "Bar Width" in that array family.

Did I miss something?

Thanks for any input.

I don't believe you missed anything.  I don't believe we have ever been able to control parameters in nested array families.

There was a tutorial on nested families in arrays but the link is not working.  I will see if I can get our ADMIN to repair that.

Are you nesting the Path family into your array family or the Bar family into the array family? Are you arraying in a family or directly in the project file? If you want to have parameters associated through the nested families this needs to all be done within families. Also I find it better to always have your parameters set as type until you reach the final host family, there you can make all linked parameters either instance or type.

Thanks to both.

Resolved, when I have time, I will post the process here.

Thanks again!
