Hi Reviteers,
Revit 2017.
When adding Spot Elevation tags (in plan-view), Revit shows a cross-hair which snaps to random points on my toposurface; sometimes snapping to the juncture between Subregions, other times snapping to the top of a wall when I need the toposurface elevation against the face of the wall.
Using the Tab-key doesn't work (I thought it would scroll through the different objects / instances...).
Has anyone found a way around this?
Cheers.

Revit finds edges. If you created a Pad to cut your topo at the outline of your building, you can tab selected that edge.
Revit will also find ponts anywhere on a topo surface. Maybe you have an incorrect setting.
