Hey all,

I'm working with design options for a fairly big project we're working on. I'm new to design options, and so far, things are going ok. About 2/3 of the model, which doesn't change, is all on the Main Model design option. We then have a few different options for the roof and a little extension to the front of the building. We then have the variations of the ground floor and roof on a number of different design options, and so far, it all looks good.

The problem comes when we go to set up our sheets and views. We want to be able to set up the sheets and views so that the stuff on the main model isn't in halftone. We don't have any phasing set up, and the VG stuff is all set to <automatic> under design options.

Any ideas on how to have the main model stuff NOT as halftone?

It should not be halftone unless you set it that way.  Each view should be setup to shown the appropriate DO's and the main model.

I checked VG and it's set to the relevant design option, but the main model still is halftone. Is the setting for this elsewhere?

The only other way I could get it to print wih the main model NOT as half tone was to go to view>additional settings>halftone and change it there, but then for other views where we have parts as halftone, they're fully visible, which we don't want.

Sorry - we need to see your settings.  Too many places for us to know where you have it set like this.

If you're editing a design option the Main Model will appear in half tone. I haven't tested whether or not it will print in half tone if you print while editing an option, but if you are seeing it in halftone because you are still in the design option go to Manage > Design Options and hit "Finish Editing".
