I would like to use the selection filetr in Revit with the capability to filter, for each category, every object in the scene.Almost like in 3d studio max. So if you have a scene with 5 walls, 3 windows, 2 floors ect...when you filter the selection you would be able to select or unselect wall #1,wall #2 ect...sorting the objects within their properties. I think that it will enhance Revit capabilities.

I'm sorry but I think that there was a misunderstanding: I want to be able to select or unselect an object such as a specific kind of wall, or window, or anything else, directly from the list that appears after you press the selection filter button, but not directly in the scene, because you can be in the case that you have too many objects of the same type to choose easily from one another...also you should be able to hide an unhide by name every object in the scene and not for type like now happends. These are features present in 3ds max, and so I think Revit users will appreciate this further filter capability. by the way, thanks for the answer. paolo Post edited on 2006-05-21 18:55:33

Yeah agreed would be nice to quickly select all of one particular wall category in a view without the need to resort using filters...
