Im working on a file that has a site plan view (obviously) and in its properties, just below view range, is "associated Level", and its greyed out, with the association being to a level I use I named "Top of Wall" (which is just a level about 8' above the first floor I use) Anyway, How does this get changed? Sometimes I want to place an element using my site plan, but it tries to place it 8 feet above the ground, which makes it hard to work in that view. Is this option not changeable? I must have duplicated a TOW view and renamed it and stuff, but is a "site plan view" supposed to be associated like that? really doesn't hurt, just annoying and I want to fix it.

Every plan view is initially set up associated with a level.   All 3d elements will initially use that level unless you change the work plane.  I caution you to be careful in what you do here because you may lose track of this setting and have other problems.  Perhaps you should re-create your 'site plan' using a more appropriate level.
