a week ago or two our office upgraded to Revit 2017.1.1 and since then two different teams (different models) have gotten the message that there are too many missing elements and the file is corrupt and cannot be opened. it seems as though this didnt start happening until we upgraded to Revit 2017.1.1. Has anyone else run into this issue?

Yeah, I had that a few weeks ago on a Revit 2017 file but it had not been upgraded at all, it was always in Revit 2017.We did however have an inhouse structural engineer that was using a linked analytical structural model from a different software. When the model was removed, all of the missing elements appeared as an error window and we could not open the file. I had not recommended we use an external software for stuctural analysis as I know Revit just hates working with any other software but my office had proceeded to buy it regardless. The only solution we found was to use a previous backup model. Autodesk were useless as usual. Autodesk forums had some solutions but none that worked.Sadly Revit ocassionally has these clusterf*ck issues that simply cannot be fixed. You lose work and you undergo downtime and the only thing you can do is ensure you create plenty of backups regularly.

Hi, we have same error message for our file and file gets currupted. We have to recover previous back up and lost some work repeatedly.

And that missing elemet ID's are of Sunpath, which we dont know how to purge or resolve the issue. If you have come upto any solution please let me know.

Thanks.
