I have a revit link that has keynotes by number method "by sheet" but they are blank in my host model, if I open the link they are there and if I change the number method to "by keynote" in the link, they show up in my host.
What is the trick to get keynotes to show up from my linked model when set to by sheet in my host model?
Thanks

The sheets in the linked file are not in your project so that can not work.

That make total sence and couldn't be more obvious now I have been told. Thanks Hub.
Due to our workflow and reasons above and beyond what should be, we have to seperate our models, one for design and one for coordination, contract legal reasons. We still link and share views. We want to see the Keynotes by sheet from the design model in our coordination model, is there any way to link the sheets to pull that info? or is it a total redo in the host model?
Thanks

No way for me to test currently. Try setting up a view that is the same as a view in the linked model then set the link to be by view and pick that view. I don't know if you will see the keynotes or not.

yeah, I tried that before posting and some other tricks too... No go. I was hoping that I was just missing something.
What I have done is hidden the linked keynote symbols and inserted the legend from the link and we will just tag the elements thru the link, no big deal.
If you have time, I would be interested in seeing if you could figure out a way to do it. But your first post makes total sense and eluded me, so I am of the opinion, at current, it can't be done, but magic does happen.
Thanks Hub
