Revit 2017 OS10

See the attachment.  Is there a way to get the schedule to give me a total count for each unit type and then a grand total.  Like 4,2,total 6 and not the shown 1,1,1,1,1,1,total 6.  Maybe the "count" from Revit is not the way to go, maybe I have to create a custom parameter but I would not know how to make one that did this.  Any help or direction would be very appreceated.  Thanks.

Why are you showing every instance?

Count works when you have multiples of the same values.

So instead of 4 B's, you would have one 'B' with a count of 4.

You can set a count and total in the sub total field without having a count column.

I'm not sure why the count is showing every instance.  I think they are identical.

I do not understand your second comment.  Thanks for the help.

Sort by the main identity column (the one that has the 'B's) and uncheck the 'itemize every instance' in your schedule setup.

That got it.  One little check mark.  Thanks so much!
