I made a bottom support for glass balustrade handrail using mass-Create in place.

The problem is when i group them only orignal remains in the display other copied objects are turned off or gone from the display.

Previously the bottom support frame was in lock constrained with the vertical posts.

But i removed them still the problem continues.

Any solution ?

Thanks

Revit grouping tool is glitchy at the best of times, so you need to be careful how you use.

Avoid creating a group and mirroring the group. Some 3D members just go AWOL or change their angles.

Avoid mixing 2D & 3D elements in a single group.

Avoid grouping too many elements together.

I would make that using the railing tool if you can. But I understand why you might want to avoid using it as its darn tricky thing to get right. If not the railing tool, I would create an inplace family and just build up all the elements in that single inplace family. If the railing is to be used multiple times across your project, then create a stand-alone family rather than an in-place family.

I have several questions and suggestions.

Why use a mass?  You are always better off to model in place with the correct category settings.

Why and what are you grouping?  If it is only one element, there is no reason to group.

Why an in-place element here?  When you copy in-place modeled elements to other locations, a completely new element is defined in the project.  So if this is called Thingy, if you look down in your bowser - families, you will now see thingy, thingy1, thingy2, thingy3 .... one defenition for each copy.   This will cause confusion and problems.   Maybe this should be a normal family or if modeled in place, then one family that has all 4 components in the model.
