Good night, everybody. At first, i apologize, english is not my first language(and i speak like Tarzan).

I've made a Revit family, a sunshade(o "parasol", para nosotros, los que hablamos español), very basic. Two steel beams for structure, some extrusions, nothing more.

But when i try to put it in my model, the revit becomes soooo slow. I'm here watching the screen like 5 minutes and does nothing. Then i took a look to the .rfa, and its a 8mb. It's a little too heavy for a revit fam(generally is  a value close to 300kb).

Is this why i can't load my family? what can i do?

Some screns:

Are all those holes in the screen element part of the extrusion itself or are they cut with a lot of seperate void extrsions? How big is the element. You might consider using a hatch pattern instead of actually modelling all those holes if they are very small.
