Hi there,

I've recently installed Revit 2017 & the current Revit 2017 Service Pack.

When I open a file in Revit it is fine. When I close that file in Revit, I get this "An unrecoverable error has occurred..." error message (see attached).

Any thoughts on how to fix this?

NOTE: I have already searched through the Autodesk & RevitCity forums regarding this issue & tried the suggestions however I am still getting the error message.

Thanks in advance.

Try a different file to see if the file is the problem.   If the problem exists with all files, then the problem is in the program or your system.

Problem still occurs with different files.

Do you have any recommendations on how to identify if the problem is the software or the system?

Just updating anyone who might happen to search this thread.

Contacted Autodesk & the issue is with the Windows 10 Anniversary Update being installed on the computer I am running Revit 2017 on.

Here are the instructions as to rectify it, as provided by Autodesk:

https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/revit-products/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/Revit-crashes-when-exit-Revit-if-Windows-10-Anniversary-update-installed.html

Autodesk Status:

"A resolution for this incident is being investigated for 2017.2"

Incident ID: 98699

I would advise anyone with this update to remove it if they are having issues & refrain from installing the update until Autodesk has provided a solution.
