Hello all,

I have a client with an unusual need; the window tags simply count, in order to locate every window within the project. I've been monkeying around with window tag families to achieve this, but not having any success. Does anyone know how to make a tag "count off" as they are placed, or if it's even possible?

I know that this is not how window tags/schedules are normally structured, but this is what my client needs to see. I have done a floor the dumb way; copy and paste a fake tag at every window then add a number to it, but it's too slow..

Any insights would be appreciated!

No - tags can't perform any action, they just read and report.

Typically, we tag our windows like doors.  They can each have a unique number even if they are the same window type, you just need to set and read the instance mark parameter that is laready provided in the window family.
