i work for a company that is hopefully going to be upgrading CAD software in the near future. we are an architectural firm that needs software that is easy to switch over to (we already use autocad), allows us to visualize the projects easier, and simply does tons of stuff that regular autocad cannot do. i think revit is a definite possibility and will be telling my boss about it, but i have a few questions first. does revit allow you to create options within a single set of drawings? (like showing the base house and then have partials of optional bays, extensions, etc.) are the dimensions parametric? thanks for any help. it looks like this site is a great resource. Ricky

Yes and yes... Revit does both of these things quickly and efficiently... and much more!
