I understand that Manage/Phases can be used to dial in the graphic settings and overrides for phases for all views in a project.  I also undertand that Phasing settings trump any graphic setting applied downstream to a specific element or view template.  In other words, any graphic override applied to a paticular existing element will be ignored and follow the Phasing filter override instead.  Is there a way to override the phasing filter settings for one view only?

In my case, I need to show existing to remain cut sections as diagonal dashed hatch for 1/4" wall sections and details, but I also want to show existing to remain cut sections as solid gray for 1/8" building sections?  Is there a way to do this?

I am using Revit 2016.

Not really, you can apply graphics override by element or set up a filter in VG. Unless, I misunderstood your question.
