Afternoon Everyone,

Working on a project in Revit currently and am changing a lot of stacked walls to basic walls consisting of one wall type.  In doing so I've run into the following issues:

-Wall tags dissapear when the wall is changed error

-Dimension strings become invalid and flash warning messages

Regarding the first issue, am i wrong to think Revit is sophisticated enough to allow the tag to remain but alter its text per the new wall type?  Or when walls change is it required that a wall be re-tagged every single time?

Regarding the second issue, I've read a lot about location lines and even after listening to the advice of several forum members this still seems to be an issue.  Immediately when the wall is changed, the wall type will either shift positions slightly or remove a dimensions or both.  I suppose I'm just looking to see if this is a constant problem in Revit or whether there is a sure-fire way to fix something I'm doing wrong.

Been a long time since I posted on here and I would appreciate any input and help i can get!

Thanks,

Stacked walls are just that - a stack of different walls. When a wall type in that stack is deleted, then the tag will go away too.  Otherwise, when changing a normal wall to a different type type, the tag will change accordingly.

The same is true of dimensions.
