Hi All. I would like to know if anyone has come across this situation, and if there a correct revit procedure for it. I have a house that needs to be raised/lifted by roughly 1m and moved sideways on the property. I need to be able to document the existing house with existing position and levels as well as the house in it's new position and levels. Once the house is raised there will be a new level underneath and a extension out the back. Is it possible to do all this in the same file. I understand phasing so thats not a problem. It's just the level and position change that has stumped me. Any help would be appreciated. I am using Revit LT 2017.

thanks Ross

Yes, you can do it all in the same file but with some clarifications.   All levels must have unique names so you can't have two First Floors, one might be First Floor Existing.   Everything else can be done with phases.  Using Worksets would be useful here with the levels being in seperate worksets new and existing.   Then you can use VG in the appropriate views to turn those on/off.

Since you can't use the same levels, I would be tempted to model the existing then save that file as a seperate file.   Now you can open that file and rename the levels and move them up.  After creating the new levels in the main file, you can either copy paste all of existing into your file or link then bind the other model into this first file.

Thank you WWHub. I think that will do the trick nicely.
