I'm new to Revit, and this site. I wanted an architectural font in Revit and tried using an old .SHX font I've been using in Autocad FOREVER. Reading about Revit, I understand it just uses fonts found in the Windows/Fonts directory. So I searched the internet and came up with a great architectural .TTF font. I installed that into the windows/fonts folder and changed my font type in my dimensions to it and it worked great. I then tried to change the font type in the leader text I was using and all that shows on the screen are boxes instead of letters? Why does the new font show up great in dimensions, but not as a font? Any help would be appreciated.

The font you are using was not built correctly. Check out the similar threads below and you may find a font that works right.

Thank you. Actually right after I posted that I found a similar thread, and there was a font attached, so I grabbed it and tried it out and it worked great. Not exactly as nice as the font I was trying to use, but it's still a good one. Thanks for the reply.
