I have several UC Columns in my building, I have attached plates to my horizontal beams which were done as a in place family, is there a way to create holes in my column flanges to match my plates.

edit the column family and add the holes, then re-load the family into your project

I thought that would be the only way. Thank-you for your time to respond.

What if it was not create in place.

I am trying to do almost the exact same thing.  But I have created individual families, and brought them together.  Is there a way I can bring all the pieces together and then punch one hole (void) through the entire thing.  I cnt seem to find a way to make it work.

I also want to call out each element seperately.  I need to create shop drawings for steel fabrication.
