hi there - when I try to download revit families today some of them are coming up only as HTML documents or text files instead of families. Does anyone know why this would be happening?

Right click the link and select "Save Target As" (or similarily worded).

Hi Typhoon,
I am doing exactly that, like I have always done.
I will attach some screen shots here to show what is happening.
First, if I simply try to download I get that weird code. So then I right click and say 'save as', which always used to ork but now is only giving me the option of HTML or text etc file....??

You are doing the 'save as' at the wrong pont in time. After your initial "Download now" choice, don't hit the "click here", instead, right click on the click here and do the save as.

Hi WWhub, That is what I am doing.
If you click here the first pic I attached happens so what I do is, as you said, right clock while hovering over the 'ckick here' and then go to save file or target as. Thanks for your help though.
Typhoon, I have tried 4 families in Internet Explorer (I usually use Mozilla Firefox) and they have all worked so far. Thank you!!!

Just an FYI - I use Mozilla and never have problems and I always have to use the save as function. Maybe it's your system or installation of Mozilla.
