Ive made two library parts. a window with trim. and just one with the same trim. so I can apply it to a trimless window if I need to. THe line weight of the trim only is good. while the line weight of the window's trim is thick and clunky. I can't seem to find where this is controlled. here is the picture and the two window parts. can someone point me in the direction of where to make the window nice and clean lined like the frame part?

…so this didn’t help? It’s all about subcategories. The trim in d.h. window is not assigned to any subcategory, thus the line weight is controlled by the main window category in the object styles or VG in the project.

In the family, put the trim on the Trim subcategory (Properties Window), and in the project in the object styles or VG, expand window category and assign desired line weight to the Trim subcategory. The Trim subcategory is already there in your family, so no need to create one. Hope it helps.
