Is there any way to effeciently work as a team with revit. With ACAD one person could work on one floor while someone else worked on another. Is there any way to do this with REVIT. Seems like that aspect gets taken away with REVIT.

Revit is a fully relational multi-user database. You will want to read up on Worksets and Central & Local files.
Baically Worksets are a logical division of your building such as shell, TI, Structural etc. that allow different teams members to collaborate at the same time on the building. There are lots of different ways to carve up the project into worksets, but you will have to analyize the best way for your team and project.
Revit uses a replicated database theory to have multiple users work on a single database model. This involves creating the worksets in what will be called the "Central File". This is really your master database and typically resides on a server. Then "local" copies are made which reside on your local PC's hard drive. About every hour or so you will "save to central" or what I wish they would call "synch with central" since what you are doing is pushing your changes to the database up to the master and pulling down the changes anyone else made to your local file.
My best advice is that you fully understand this whole process before attempting on a live project.

Thanks for the quick reply Tom. I understand what you are saying with the worksets and I can see how that would work well with a networked company. Is there anyway to do something similar with two remote computers posibly miles away from each other?

The Revit model is one building=one file. To try and do something other than worksets and a central file might be difficult. I suppose it all depends on project size and scope. You then might be looking at a lot of cutting pasting or perhaps Revit 9's enhanced file linking would work.
It is also possible to "edit at risk" a local copy of the central file and this might work if you really watch what the two parties are doing.
Other than that, you need a high speed connection from one remote location to another that approaches network speeds of 100mps. We have not attempted that type of connection, I know others do and they require network appliances from Riverbed Technologies and a high speed costly data pipe.
Maybe someone else has some better ideas out there.
