HELP!!! i am sitting 2 days away from a building department submittal, and a bunch of my grid lines in plan disappeared. i cant create new ones, because they are still visible in section/elevation. but in all of the plan views, the vertical grid lines disappeared. everything is visible in my model, and they i never "hid annotation in view" of course i lost all of my dimensions tied to these grid lines, but they still are in my elevations and sections. they are all 3-Dimensional grid lines, so that isnt it. and i have half of them visible in plan, so it isnt a visibility thing. i cant copy/paste aligned because i cant select the "paste in selected view" option. has anyone ever run into this? Please help Obi Wan Kanobe, you are our only help!

ok...we got it straightened around. apparently my coworker decided to make our grid lines 3D and bring the underside of the grid extension lines above the cut plane for all of our levels. things are being returned to normal as i type. albeit i'm frusterated as hell. if the line is 2D you can adjust the grid lines vertically and it wont affect the rest of the model, but if you move them left/right, the gridlines and all associated info will move as well. i think the same goes for levels, you can move them left/right just fine if they are 2D, but if you move them vertically it will impact your model. what happens when you over where the grid suppose to be? is anything hilighted? have you tried to create a scope box? not sure, never happened with grids before, I had the same problem with levels and wonder if the answer is the same... just create a scope box, boxing your model, make sure it is higher in elevation as well. click on a grid, right click and select all instances, go to properties and select the scope box you have created. let me know how you went
