Ive created a curved stair. the curve is made up of 3 arcs, so not onse smooth curve (almost though) and so trying to get a railing on there. its tough. So as a work-around, I added a simple ramp, that would hug the curve of the stair like a stringer, matching the angle, then set a simple railing on top of that. but if you look at the pic, the railing decides to start to go down again...included stair ramp file.

Why not use the stair picking the 3 seperate curves for the railing sketch?

Hey Hub. I did, and at first it was not hosting on the stringer. so in plan it would just be flat against the floor instead of following the stair. I did manage to get it there though. Just trying diff options seemed to work out. A little quirky but still good.

Understanding the railing sketch process takes some time.  The railing sketch has to be over the host but using the offset settings allow you to have the railing outside of the stair.

I suggest to everyone that they experiment with the settings to learn how they work then be consistent in how you set up your railing in your template.

if you know the height change for each railing sketch line (the height it ends at minus the height it starts) you can change the lines to sloped lines with a custom hieght correction. Or if the first sketch line is hosted properly you can just change the ones that are not doing what you like when using the host for the slope.
