I am trying to apply the Boral Cultured Stone Model pattern to the face of my building but when I set it up as my surface pattern it

is showing up only in my plan view- I thought it was because I was originally using cast in place concrete as the base material that I duplicated

and applied the cobblestone model pattern to- but I tried precast concrete panels thinking that as a material that is used vertically it would work

but no luck. What am I doing wrong?.

"...when I set it up as my surface pattern it is showing up only in my plan view-..."   What have you assigned it to?  It soulds like you assigned it as the material "CUT" pattern.  There are two different settings for materials.

No It is applied as a surface pattern and is a Model pattern. I have attached the pattern. This pattern is from the Boral Cultured Stone

You really don't give us enough information to help you.  First, we ask that you always tell us what issue of Revit and what updates because that may be an issue.  Secound, your description of your issues is not clear.   You use the word applied and that suggests something other than assigned.  Wit walls, you typically assign a material to the wall layers and within the material description, patterns are assigned to the face and the cut of the material.   Applied indicates you may be using the paint tool but that is only a guess.

My apologies- I am using Revit 2016 for this project, I have assigned the .pat file to the surface of the material- and used

the concrete precast panel material as the basis for the cultured stone material I am trying to create. Duuplicated the material- renamed it- removed the CPP Image and assigned the cobblefiels.pat as the surface pattern. he pattern stopped appearing in plan view once I changed from using cast- in- place

concrete as my base material and switched to the pre-cast panels. But I cannot get the pattern to show up even in elevation unless I scroll in very close, and the pattern does not show up at all in 3D. I brought the pattern in at 1.00 scale and the individual stones scale at 1'-2" wide for the largest stone to 4.5" for the smallest. Which seems reasonable scale-wise.
